Planned giving at St. Andrew’s

Planned Giving is a way that gifts can be made to the church from accumulated resources.  It usually involves financial or estate planning; however, it is not reserved just for the wealthy.  Planned Giving is a way for anyone, concerned about the wise use of their hard-earned personal resources, to make a clear choice about their final disposition.  It is a way for a donor to provide for family members while remembering the church as well.  It often enables the donor to provide more for his or her heirs and to make a larger gift than thought possible.  Additionally, it often reduces some associated taxes as well.

The simplest way to make a Planned Gift is by naming your church in your will.  This is a meaningful way to support the ministry work without affecting your cash flow during your lifetime.  Depending on your personal circumstances, there are a handful of other gifting vehicles at your disposal.

There is an electronic version of a helpful Planned Giving brochure. We also have some hard copies of the brochure on hand in St. Andrew’s office.  If you are interested in further information, please contact St. Andrew’s at (252) 441-5382.

As with any important financial consideration, please seek appropriate professional legal, tax and financial advice before finalizing any decision on a Planned Gift.
